Mr. Miller takes pride in being an active member of his local community and working for continued public improvement. He serves as a member of several bar association committees, including the Brooklyn Bar Association's Grievance Committee, and is an arbitrator for the Small Claims Courts of both New York and Kings Counties. He also teaches Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses on a variety of topics, to both judges and practitioners, for the Brooklyn Bar Association and the Kings County American Inns of Court. Mr. Miller has also published articles in Defendant Magazine and the Law Journal Seminar Series.
A recipient of the Anti Defamation League's Belkin Award for his pro-bono work on Civil Rights matters, Mr. Miller was appointed to Brooklyn’s Community Board 18 by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz. Most recently, Mr. Miller was appointed by the 41st, 45th, 59th assembly districts to sit on the Judicial Screening Committee for the Democratic Party of Kings County, where he has co-chaired several sub committees.
Mr. Miller has participated in numerous clinical and pro-bono programs and was selected by Barry Scheck to participate in the internationally renowned "Innocence Project" while a student at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Formerly, he was an associate at Barry, McTiernan & Moore.
Mr. Miller is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
